Thank you to everyone who filled out the Mid-Year Survey, we received some great meeting ideas! Congratulations to Michelle Boehm, she won a SWE Wine Glass for filling out the survey. Over the past month, we have had members help with the local NAWIC Block Kids event and travel to Manhattan to join the K-State SWE members during the K-State vs. Baylor Basketball game. Coming up this week on Thursday is the WCES Banquet at the Beech Activity Center.
February is what I consider Outreach Month! Wichita SWE is full of activities! This last weekend was WSU Lego Mindstorms Trial Day; coming up this weekend is the big annual outreach event…ENGINEERING EXPO! It is not too late to sign up to help at Expo! Sign up info can be found here (http://wichitaswe.org/expo/volunteer.php). Don’t forget to share the Expo Flyer with your family, friends, and co-workers!!!
The first weekend in March is the Region i Conference in Tulsa, OK. Many Wichita SWE members will be headed down to Tulsa on Friday, March 2. If you are interested in attending, you can find the link below in the newsletter. We would love for you to join us!
