Wow! What a busy month! From the Outreach side…we had record attendance at Engineering Expo, 650+ kids and their families joined us to learn about Engineering. This year Expo had some great new booths for kids and parents to explore. THANK YOU to all of our sponsors and volunteers! Wichita SWE had two members attend Expanding Your Horizons at Emporia State University. Expanding Your Horizons was the same weekend as WSU Lego Mindstorms Challenge Day. For Lego Mindstorms, Wichita SWE members were judges and coaches, the day was long but very rewarding for all involved!
The Region i Conference, the first weekend in March, was fantastic! It was great to catch up with old friends and meet new friends. Wichita SWE won the highest membership retention award for Region i!
Coming up, we have an exciting dinner meeting planned about bridges…don’t forget to RSVP! There are also several outreach/volunteer opportunities coming up at local elementary schools and WSU. The State Science Fair is also looking for more judges! We would love to see you at a meeting or an outreach event!
