Wichita SWE Members please check your e-mails for a link to the FY13 ballot. Voting is open until May 17th.
The following is the slate of officers:
President -Allison Wright
Note from Allison: As you all know I have served as the FY12 president. This last year has been quite the learning experience and it has prepared me well to serve as President for another year. I have worked hard this past year to improve communication, offer a variety of events, and organize our section’s documentation and processes. I am excited for the opportunity to help our section continue to be active and grow!
Vice President -Michelle Boehm
Note from Michelle: I have been involved with the Wichita SWE section for the past year after moving here last August. Since joining the section, I have participated in and helped plan a variety of events the section hosts and have had the opportunity to meet and network with many other members (which I am grateful for, since I moved here knowing no one!). I am looking forward to becoming more involved and bringing some new ideas to the section.
Secretary -Misty Frank
Note from Misty: I am interested in getting more involved with the local Wichita SWE chapter and there’s no better way to do that then to submerse yourself into a board position. The secretary position is an great way to ease in and get to know the members as well as the activities our chapter is engaged in. Before moving to Wichita, I was active in the SWE East Center Iowa chapter as the Webmaster.
 Treasurer – Lynn Howitz
Note from Lynn: I have held the treasurer position in different organizations prior to assisting Wichita SWE for a portion of FY12 as acting treasurer.  This year I learned the basics of being treasurer for the section, and I look forward to getting more in depth experience planning and creating the budget. I am excited to be a part Wichita SWE and about the growth and energy in the section, and I look forward to what is still to come.
 Section Representative – Jennifer Marshall
Note from Jennifer: I have served as section rep for FY12. I have learned about SWE business by being the liaison between the Region and the section. I have worked to get our reports in on time and make the Region aware of our section’s activities and accomplishments. I have enjoyed being a part of SWE and look forward to the opportunity to serve in this role for the coming year.
