There is a kite flying event on Monday, May 14 beginning @ 10:30 a.m. at Jackson Elementary School in NE Wichita, across from the Great Plains Nature Center. They would like some volunteers to assist with kite flying, especially helping the younger kids with their kites. There will be 11 elementary classes participating total. Let Lorrie Beck, Visitor Services Manager, at the Great Plains Nature Center know if you can help.
