SWE Holiday Party

It’s SWE HOLIDAY PARTY TIME! Mark your calendars for our annual holiday party on Friday December 2nd starting at 7pm. This year we are having a Winter Swim Party…yes you read this correctly…don’t worry the pool is inside and heated! In addition to swimming we will be having a Holiday Sweater contest so wear your brightest, tackiest, funniest sweaters. No White Elephant exchange this year…Elephants are too big to swim in the pool!
Families are invited to join in the holiday fun…so bring your family, a holiday treat to share, swimsuits, towels and your favorite beverage.
RSVP to barbara.davis@swe.org by Wednesday, Nov. 30 with the number attending and she will provide you with directions to her house!

Workshop on Effective Personal Communication

The Region i leadership coach will be here on Saturday, October 22 to give a workshop on Effective Personal Communication. The workshop will be held at the Girl Scout Center (360 Lexington) from 11:30 to 12:30. Desserts will be provided. Please RSVP to wichitaswe@gmail.com so we have enough seats set up!!!

Where: Girl Scouts Kansas Heartland, 360 Lexington Rd, near Kellogg & Edgemoor

Cost: $10 for members, $15 for non-members
Dinner included (sandwiches)

2009-2010 Annual Planning Meeting

planning flyerCome celebrate the WE in SWE!  This is your opportunity to decide what you would like to learn about, visit, and experience during the next 12 months.

When: Sunday, July 26th from Noon to 4pm (If you can’t stay the entire time, just stay as long as your schedule permits.  We’d love to get your input.)

Where: Kechi, KS (just north of Wichita, detailed directions provided after RSVP is received)

We will be ordering Bierocks for lunch (German meat-filled pastries). If you would like one, please mention it in your RSVP and bring $3 to cover the cost. Additional refreshments will be provided as well.

Write our history together

We’d like to take some time to consider and document the great history of the Wichita section. We know that lots of you have stories and photographs about the last 25 years. So please join us Saturday, May 30th at 10:00 am to talk about our history. We’ve got pictures to caption, previous officers to contact, and a timeline to create.

We’ll meet at Vicki Johnson’s house (e-mail Vicki.Johnson@swe.org if you need directions). If you’d like to help out but can’t attend, e-mail our publicity chair Katherine.VanDellen@swe.org.
