Region i Goal Summary

Wednesday, September 15th, 2010

This year’s theme is Shaping Lives

As we get inspired by the different successes that women engineers have achieved during the past 60 years, we, as SWE, will continue to build history together for another 60 years to come.

Together we are shaping lives.

Region I has the following goals. For complete information, see Region I website http://swe.org/regioni/Goals.htm

  1. Growing the Profession – Outreach
  2. Professional Excellence
  3. Industry Catalyst
  4. Inclusive Global Community

The steps to reaching these goals that our section is participating in include having one career outreach event, one professional development event and a membership drive, measuring quality and value through survey results, submitting reports to region on time, and using social media for communication and to promote events.

The top level goals for the Wichita section are

  1. Education and Outreach
  2. Inclusive Organization
  3. Knowledge Source
  4. Professional Leadership
  5. Value and Benefit
