If you’re a member of our section, you can submit community events and posts to our web page. The WichitaSWE news automatically feeds to our Twitter and Facebook Page, and it’s sent out to membership in our monthly e-newsletter, so submitting posts is a great way to spread the word about what’s going on.

The first step is to register. All you need is a working e-mail address. For best results, use your @SWE.org e-mail address. You’ll also choose a username and password.

When you register, an automatic e-mail is sent to the blog adminstrators, Kim Burton (web coordinator) and Angela Schroeder (section president) . One of them will have to confirm that you’re actually a member of our section. Until then, you can submit comments on news articles, but they’ll have to be approved.

Your website permissions will depend on your role in the section:

If you’re registered but feel like your website role doesn’t match up with your SWE role, let Kim or Angela know.

Once you’ve signed up you should be able to update your user profile. Click on site admin, then find the Your Profile link under “Users” on the left. Tell us a little about yourself. It’ll be shown on your public profile, which people see when they click your name on a post you’ve written.
