Sunday, July 15th, 2012Each year our largest outreach event, the Engineering Expo, is held in late February and 2013 is no exception. It’s time to start planning! We already have a date set – February 23 2013 – and a new bigger location: WATC National Center for Aviation Training (NCAT). Expo is a great way to get involved with a fun event that helps area kids. We need help with booth coordination, fund raising, publicity, volunteer direction, staging, educational development… you name it.
Our first planning meeting will be Wednesday August 22nd at 5pm at Il Vicino at Douglas & Oliver.

Leadership Coaching Meeting Summary
Saturday, June 16th, 2012On Saturday, June 16th Wichita SWE members and WSU collegiate members gathered at the Girl Scouts Center in Wichita to learn about strategic planning and how to increase membership in their sections. The modules were presented by Suzanne Dodson, Region i’s Leadership Coach. Time was provided to start to develop a strategic plan for our section. We also learned about how to work membership recruitment into our strategic and tactical plans. The strategic plan that was started on June 16 will be continued at our annual planning meeting in July.

Mid-Year Planning Meeting
Thursday, January 26th, 2012There will be a mid-year planning meeting on Sunday, Feb. 5 from 1-3pm at the Girl Scout Center (360 Lexington). We will discuss events for the rest of the year as well as preliminary plans for next year. If you are interested in a leadership position for next year we would love to see you at the planning meeting. There will be snacks and we will be done before the Super Bowl starts!!! If you need directions or have any questions please contact Allison at wichitaswe@gmail.com

Annual Planning Meeting
Monday, June 21st, 2010All members are invited to the annual planning meeting. This is your chance to be involved with the direction our section takes for FY11.

SWE is providing meat for hamburgers and hot dogs. If you attend, please bring a side dish, dessert or beverage.
