The 2009 Region i Conference at Washington University in St. Louis was great. The committee kept us busy from Friday night’s social through a full day of meetings and workshops on Saturday. Dinner Saturday evening was a treat with an act of “Murder in Mayberry” following each course.
Saturday began with Region meetings. Brenda Wolfe, Region governor, gave a presentation to the professionals on the changes that will have to be addressed as a result of the changes to our Council of Representatives. In particular, candidates for the new position of Region Senator must be to National by March 1st. Betty Shanahan, National Executive Director and CEO, presented to both professional and collegiate members on the “State of SWE” and on SWE’s efforts in the area of Public Policy.
See you next year at the University of Missouri Columbia, Missouri for the 2010 Region i Conference!
