Tuesday, July 5th, 2011Did you know that any SWE member can request her own @swe.org email addresses? These addresses look great on resumes and help other members find you, since they’re all in the same format: firstname.lastname@swe.org. Your swe.org email is an alias that forwards to the email address of your choice… work, school, personal or anything else. That way if you’ve got 15 emails accounts we don’t all have to wonder which one you prefer, we just use your swe.org address. If you’re an officer or committee chair, it’s strongly encouraged that you set this up.
To request an address:
- Read over the terms, conditions and procedures at swe.org.
- Send an email to aliasadmin@swe.orgwith the subject “SWE Special Purpose Alias Request”.
- In the email include your first name, last name, and email you’d like the address to forward to.
- SWE will verify your membership and let you know when the address is set up.
After you’ve got an email be sure to notify our Wichita section webmistress (kim.burton@swe.org) so she can add your contact information to the about us page.
