2013 Festival of Trees
Tuesday, May 7th, 2013Sadly, Goodwill has cancelled the 2013 Festival of Trees. Wichita SWE will still decorate a tree and we will give it to a local organization for their enjoyment. If you have an idea of a location for our tree to go or have a tree to donate for us to use, please send an email to wichitaswe@gmail.com and we hope to see you at our June Ornament Build Day!

Sunday, November 18th, 2012We are busy working on our Lego® tree for this year’s event. A big thanks to everyone who has made ornaments. We will be having a work evening on Monday November 19 at 7pm to make and package ornaments. Email Barb to RSVP and get directions to her house.
Tree Decorating
Sunday, October 14th, 2012We will be decorating our tree for the Goodwill Festival of Trees on November 26 in the Exhibition Hall Balcony at Century II. Time is TBD. Even if you haven’t helped build ornaments, you can still come and decorate.
The Festival of Trees events will be November 29-December 2.

Brainstorming required! We also need a name for the tree. Please email any ideas to Barb as well. Some of our past names were Celebrations…Uncorked and Spicing up the Holidays.

2011 Most Whimsical Tree!!!
Wednesday, November 30th, 2011Wichita SWE was awarded the ribbon for the Most Whimsical Tree by the judges at the 2011 Festival of Trees…THANK YOU to every one who helped!!! The tree was on show at the public viewing on December 3 and 4 at Century II. This year’s theme was “Spicing up the Holidays” and decorations included cookies, candy, aprons and cooking utensils.
