Our annual Engineering Expo teaches hundreds of kids about science & engineering, and is entirely run by volunteers. Volunteering at expo is a lot of fun and, for the most part, requires no special skills.
We have run into a specific need though: a photographer! We use photos on our website, in presentations to sponsors, and in the award-winning internationally distributed SWE magazine. You’ll receive credit for your work and a big thank-you from all of us organizing expo. Expo runs from 9am – 12 pm on Saturday, February 25th. You will not have to be there the whole time, only an hour or two.
To volunteer, send an email to expo@wichitaswe.org with a link to your website and a bit about your experience. This task is best suited for someone with some photojournalism experience, but we’re not going to be terribly picky. We just need someone with a decent camera and enthusiasm for our goal: exposing kids to the coolness of science and engineering!
