Wichita SWE section on LinkedIn

Our SWE section now has a group on LinkedIn: http://www.linkedin.com/groups?gid=3771383.

If you are on LinkedIn, you can join the group and quickly connect with other SWE members. There is also a newsfeed, automatically posted from our website at wichitaswe.org, to keep group members tied in with section events.

If you’re not on LinkedIn, it’s a great website for networking with local professionals! The groups feature keeps you tied in with alumni, industry, or professional groups. The LinkedIn Answers feature is another favorite tool, allowing users to post business-related questions to the LinkedIn community. LinkedIn helps you keep your professional contacts organized and provides lots of helpful career resources. Whether you’re looking for a job or just learning how to improve your career in your existing position, LinkedIn can be very helpful.

The Wichita section of SWE also has a pages on:

  • Facebook a social network that makes it easy for you to share SWE events with friends & family.
  • Twitter, the microblogging website for people who like to know what’s going on around town and the latest news from other organizations.
  • YouTube, where we posted a nifty video from Engineering Expo last year!

Bottom line: if you want to keep up with what’s going on with our section, there are lots of places to go.
