June Newsletter

June Newsletter

Hello Wichita SWE,

The end of the fiscal year is fast approaching.  That being so, we still have a few more great events to end the year with!  See our June Newsletter (linked above), for information on a women’s self defense class and an outreach day at the Kansas Aviation Museum.  These are the last two events of FY18 and I hope you can join us for them.

Please also note in the newsletter, that if you have not already, it is time to renew your SWE membership.  Registering as an official member of SWE grants you access to the endless engineering, career, professional development and outreach resources and tools that SWE has to offer.  It also helps support our Section through funds from the Society based on our membership numbers.  These funds help us hold fun and rewarding events throughout the year.

Finally, I want to thank everyone who has participated in any of our Section’s events this year and made this year another success for the SWE Wichita Section.  I have truly enjoyed serving as the Section’s President this year and am very excited to see what the FY19 officers have planned for the coming year.  I am confident that I am leaving our Section in very capable hands.  It has been an honor and pleasure to serve you and meet many new faces.  I hope to see you at an event in the near future.

Sincerely,

Hannah Morris
